Node Alpha 1

Hello, everybody!

Pixel Clube

We are working very hard to complete this game. Development first started on March 13, 2022, when we decided we wanted to recreate an old game of ours. The original game, named Pixel Clube, was created some time before June 12, 2021. The main developer on the team had a strong interest in games, so much that he wanted to create his own, especially an RPG. Sadly, the team had little to no experience with making games, so we started on a platform. We were able to somewhat grasp what a game was, and learned the basics of everything. Now, we could go to a small, code-free platform and create our dream game, but first, we started with a platformer game. It went pretty well, but we soon finished world one and had hit a road block. We had no idea where to continue with it...

RPC

We eventually started to work on our dream game, nicknamed RPC. That went well for a while, but it was very buggy, not fun, and it didn't feel like a full game. We got sort of far into it, farther than any project we had previously done. Just one thing... It didn't work out. No matter how many ideas we complied together, it didn't feel like a full game. We had no motivation whatsoever to continue it. In conclusion to RPC, we published what we had and decided we would redo it if we were encouraged to. We aren't very sure if RPC will ever see the light of day, but a team can hope, right?

Node

After some boredom and figuring out what to do with our lives, I had recommended that we remake Pixel Clube. And so we did, but not in a way you might think. Pixel Clube was mainly a platformer with a story. That was it, but I wanted Node to be so much more. I focused on combat, puzzles, boss fights, and entertainment, the mistakes we had made by not looking toward these goals. We kept thinking and thinking of so many ideas and story, and I finally felt motivated again! The team is hard at work, working toward our goal at making an entertaining game that people enjoy to play. And for free, too!

After everything we've made, as of April 10, 2022, we have pretty much finished level one, we got far into a world map, we made a menu, we came up with ideas, and have laid down most of the main points of this game. I truly can't wait to see where this project goes in the next few years.
